Privacy Policy

TUFFC is built to help anglers make better fishing decisions. This policy explains what information TUFFC collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

If you create an account, TUFFC processes your email address, account identifier, and optional display name. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription records so TUFFC can provide and restore paid access.

If you send feedback or report a data issue, TUFFC processes the message, your account email, app version, submission time, and any water or evidence context you choose to attach. TUFFC does not upload photos selected for the current on-device photo tools.

With your permission, TUFFC may use precise foreground location to sort nearby waters and request location-relevant weather or condition data. Location access is optional and can be changed in device settings. TUFFC does not use background location.

On Android, Google Maps may process technical information needed to provide the map, including device and request metadata, a Maps SDK-specific identifier, map interactions, and crash or diagnostic information. Google describes this processing in its Maps SDK documentation.

Saved waters, tackle, logs, trip notes, photos, and display preferences ordinarily remain on your device unless you explicitly include related context in a support or feedback submission.

How information is used

TUFFC uses information to authenticate accounts, provide and restore subscription access, operate water, weather, map, and support features, respond to requests, and maintain service reliability. Subscription and map-service analytics are used only to operate and understand those services.

Service providers

TUFFC relies on service providers including Supabase for account services, RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play for subscriptions, Open-Meteo and authoritative water-data providers for conditions, Google Maps for Android maps, and Netlify and Resend for website and support delivery. These providers process information under their own privacy terms and only as needed to provide their services.

TUFFC does not sell personal information, run advertising profiles, or use personal information for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Account and support information is retained only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve requests, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. You can delete your TUFFC account from My TUFFC in the app or request help through the support page. Deleting a TUFFC account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; manage subscriptions in the applicable store. Purchase, billing, fraud-prevention, and security records may be retained when legally or operationally required. Local device data can be removed by deleting the app or clearing its data.

Security and contact

TUFFC uses encrypted network connections and reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Contact TUFFC Support with privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests.
